Chinatown used to be a second home for my family; it was a place of routine, tradition, and recreation. Revisiting the famous Historic Chinatown Gate was nostalgic after my last visit years ago, so of course I was compelled to take a photo for old time’s sake. However, looking back on the image, there’s a lot more than what meets the eye. This gate isn’t just decoration; it’s an icon and symbol of Chinese culture and heritage that was built to be respected.
